Right, post up any Discs that you think should be part of not only mine or anybody's collection. Maybe even post a review of what the PQ/SQ is like, but no problems if you can't.

Since I have made the switchover to the Ray of Blu, I have:

The Dark Knight
Spiderman 3
Harry Potter 3/4 & 5 (I'm a fan of the films - sue me.)

So not the greatest selection to choose from at the moment so looking for some advice as to what to buy next. I do want to get The Matrix Trilogy at some point though

The film Wanted looks really good on Blu-Ray, so I'd recommend that. Also the film "Taken".

Quantum of Solace is out soon and that is probably worth a pre-order.

I also recommend some of the Disney Pixar/Dreamworks animated films, as they really show off the quality of Blu-Ray well. I have Ratatouille and Kung Fu Panda.

I also like Sweeney Todd on Blu-Ray. Because the use of colour and contrast is so important in that movie, Blu-Ray excels.

I'll try and start posting reviews of all my Blu-Rays and stuff in this section over the next few days.

the simpsons movie is fantastic quality

ratatouile(sp) is great quality aswell

also depends on your tv and that i think? mine isnt a sony etc its AOC so not the best make and i didnt like the marines quality on mine but ive seen pics and as long as your tv dont show the grainy effects on bluray you should be good for everything basically

wrestlemania 24 if you havent already is 1 hell of a bluray the quality is amazing

got a collection of something like 25 blurays and there deffo the ones stick out for quality if THATS what you are looking for, qaulity over a good film?

See, now you mention it, Spiderman 3 was a bit grainy when I've watched it, but none of the others have been. Which I found weird.

My TV is an LG, so not in the league of Pioneer and Panasonic, but definately up there though.

Yeah got Mania 24 - superb quality. I do want to get Wall-E as well.

Well I think most people prefer having the films that show off the amazing picture quality of their HDTV's.

I have a Samsung, but have not had any issues with grainy pictures at all.

I have a Samsung, grainy picture is nothing to do with the TV you have, it's just how the films are. Click, that's a fairly grainy looking film from what I remember.

As far as great looking BRs:

Transformers: Looks absolutely great, due to the amount of colours, effects etc.

Taken: as Steve said that movie looks great in HD as well.

The Godfather Trilogy: These look immense in HD, though they do have a fairly grainy look to them as well.

I'll let you know some of the others I have later, as I can't think of which others look great off the top of my head.

Iron Man
Wall-E
2001: A Space Odyssey
Sleeping Beauty (Don't have or want it, but heard it looks fucking fantastic!)
Sin City
I've heard the batman anthology thats out looks great. The movies aren't the cup of tea to many people though. I want it.

I'll have a look through the rest of mine and edit this for you.

I know you're in to UFC, so you might want to check out UFC: Best of 2008 on Blu-Ray

Die Hard 4.0

That looks great on Blu-Ray as well, shame the BR is the theatrical version and not the unrated one though.

Yeah, I don't particularly mind if a film is grainy, seeing as HD looks so great it doesn't take away from the awesomness of the quality really. Oh, The Matrix movies, they another trilogy that look beautiful in HD.

The departed.

Film - 10/10
Quality - 9.5/10. A little grainy sometimes, if you like that, 10/10.

Looks superb & the film itself is.

Bought Iron Man last night - wanted to get it for a while now but never found anywhere that sold it cheap enough. Saw it in Asda with a £15 sticker on it and that was me sold.

Some quality S-H-I-T right there.

If you are looking for great picture quality then any WWE ppv. They look much better than any film does on Blueray. Even my friend who hates wrestling agreed with me.
