The planned cover artwork for WWE OMG! – The Top 50 Incidents In WWE History can now be exclusively revealed by WWEDVDNews.com!
Released on DVD and Blu-ray formats first on August 23rd to the USA, the cover features Edge spearing Mick Foley through a flaming table at WrestleMania 22. We can also tell from the below artwork shot that a picture of Triple H from the Attitude Era holding the WWF Championship is featured on the spine of both editions.

OMG! – The Top 50 Incidents In WWE History counts down the most outrageous moments in the history of WWE. What moments will make the cut, the top 10, and what is the greatest moment of all time? Is it the King of the Ring tournament where Austin 3:16 was born? Mick Foley’s devastating fall of the top of the Hell in a Cell cage? The Montreal Screwjob? The explosion that consumed Mr. McMahon’s limo? This three-disc set is the perfect release for fans that love to debate which moments were their favorites.

WWE will be promoting this as their second countdown release chronicling some of the top moments in WWE history, a follow on from Top 50 Superstars of All Time (2010) which sold over 57,000 copies in the first eight weeks of release.

gay title, sorry, but it is. 'OMG'.... really? come on WWE, not everyone who buys your DVDs are teenagers.

Is it going to be censored? That's the big question (and I don't mean logo blurring, i mean blood turned to B/W).

- also, everyone knows 'Oh my god!" is associated with Joey Styles, not the WWE.

Yeah, really really shit title, and rubbish cover IMO. But, so long as its uncensored, I'd quite like to watch this.

This DVD was flawed from the start, cos the #1 "OMG" moment is clearly the Benoit Murder-Suicide... can't top the shock value of that!

this is the project i wanted to do but just couldn't decide on the top 50 grrr but mine was going to be WRESTLING momments not WWE

cover looks sweet to me and if joey styles does the hosting then IMO OMG would fit especially if he says OMG after every clip

I would love to see Joey Styles hosting this but somehow I don't see it. The cover isn't awful but it could be a LOT better. The Cage Match DVD cover was miles better than this one, I don't understand why they keep alternating between creative good looking covers and match picture + logo covers.

At the risk of sounding like a smart-ass, but Styles has spent equal time working for WWE now as he has with ECW, so that kinda kills off that point. Joey Styles is a WWE employee.

That said, if it's R-Rated, i'm happy enough to pick this up on blu-ray. :)

I'd say it's a long shot, but there isn't a TV-PG logo on the front/spine yet. =P

I don't think I mentioned 'Original ECW'... I said Joey Styles... now put a picture of him in the corner like hes popping out of nowhere, and you got yourself a cover!

Thats not a bad idea.. maybe something like an elimination list though, so instead of 50, we end up with a list of say, 25?

# 5 – Sable Handprints – 26th July, 1998

#22 Shane McMahon Daredevil

#5 So I guess this means its going to be TV-14 and uncensored? Great. I hope we get to see Stone Colds middle finger again.

Bit disappointed with the choices... no backstage stuff, just in character moments.

#22 I'm guessing thats going to be a nice compilation of his high risk stuff. He was the bomb when he was in the ring.

According to LordsofPain:

The European market will be getting a different cover for WWE's "OMG! Top 50 Incidents in WWE History" DVD, according to WWEDVDNews. Apparently the image of Edge spearing Mick Foley through a flaming table was too graphic and they're coming up with a different cover to appease retailers.

10-07-2011, 09:04 PM
Too graphic? It's not like you can see blood on either person or there's a knife to anybody's throat or anything like that. Maybe I've been spoiled by the original ECW but I don't find the US cover "too graphic". =|

LordCrumb
10-07-2011, 09:27 PM
No its certainly an overreaction, i'd say, caused by the PG era that has softened a lot of people ;)

Wilson
10-07-2011, 09:38 PM
Sad thing is no ECW or WCW content. Lets face it Joey Styles had the phrase trademarked in ECW with his "OHHH MY GOOOOOOOOOOOD". Shame nothing with him calling some good ECW matches are on the set, or some WCW content. Bash 96 with Hogan coming out turning heel would be a great WCW match to have. Or War Games 96 when Sting came out at the end.

Also wish they had more older content rather then a bunch of Edge & Austin. To much content thats already been released on sets before.

And whats with only 4 moments from the 80s?? None from the 70s, then 23 from the 90s and 20 from the 2000s. Gotta be more moments from the 80s than what they have. I would at least added when the Mega Powers split and Savage went crazy, what defines an OMG moment anyway?

What about Royal Rumble 93, when Giant Gonzales appears and destroys the Undertaker, watching it live on PPV at the time it was a real WOW "OMG" type moment.

Don't think I seen it on the list but how about when Cena returned to win the Rumble a few years ago after being out a few months from neck surgery, or when Austin was dropped on his head by Owen @ Summerslam 97.

# 12 – WWE buys WCW – 26th March, 2001

No way in hell this should make the list, one of the worst played out segments in WWE history IMO..

# 45 – Cena’s Feat of Strength – 5th April, 2009 (lame FU to Big Show & Edge in a horrid match)

If that makes the list at #45 then Hogan/Warrior body slamming Andre should be top 10  On top of Ahmed/Luger body slamming Yokozuna should be #1 & #2 then!!!

No moments of Savage off the top of the cage? Andre selling the WWF to Dibiase not on the list? Backlund defeated in 9 seconds for the WWF title (oh wait not on tv...I think).

I do like the match card though, just seems like its more less a hardcore type theme set, rather then actual OMG moments, its more like eh.. same old attitude era shit, lets face it the things they added from the late 90s happened every week on Raw, Austin beer truck one week, the zambino the next, arrested the week after that, fired the following week, not alot stands out from the attitude era due to overkill.

LordCrumb
10-07-2011, 09:42 PM

Good news, everyone.

OMG! The Top 50 Incidents in WWE History will be rated 18 in the United Kingdom according to BBFC, which is a first since 2009. That means it will probably have a TV-14 rating in North America.

“OMG!” will be released on DVD and Blu-ray on August 23rd in the US and is expected early September in the UK when buying at Silvervision.co.uk.

Pretty racey putting Sable's FUlly Loaded 98 sketch - will they also include Jacqeline's titty shot I wonder?!

the thing with the cover is another odd one - the first Steel Cage match DVD was called Bloodbath in the USA with a red cover and that name was nixed from the European release. Same with the Bloodsport ECW disc and Satan's Prison obviously. I suspect it's just someone in SilverVision that says "here lads, I'm taking the flak from the papers and/or parents for selling a disc with the word blood in it even if there's a river of blood on the disc itself". No, makes little sense. Maybe HMV took offence and don't like stocking risque covers.

I suspect its the VPRC, you can release a DVD in the UK without their approval but it won't get stocked by as many retailers, so they probably sent it to them and they insisted on the changes rather than SV.

I watched this the other night and it was ok. I'm going to re-watch it to see if maybe I'll have a different opinion on it, but I got really sick of the "Oh My God" song playing in between each segment. Some of the "incidents" weren't shocking to me and were quite boring to be honest, and I was surprised at the positioning of certain incidents as well. I'll re-watch this though and let you know what I think of it after a second viewing.

Has anybody else watched this set?

Well, I said it the last time I posted here LOL, and still stand by it.

Just got this, and even the opening advertisements, music WAY to loud.. can barely hear the talking.

Just another short message, as I said just before in Wrestlfocus, got done watching this. I just thought I would report that although it is TV14 material, there is the odd bit of censored language, but I think this might come down to it being censored after originally airing.

The first bit I noticed was Mae Young wanting to take on Laycool, she called them Sluts and Bitches when aired on Raw, but this has been bleeped out. There is also a couple of other 'bitch', 'shit' and 'jesus christ' moments bleeped/cut out, and when Mae Young revealed her fake breasts while running around the ring, this is blurred out. Pillmans Got a Gun also cuts out the F-Bomb as expected too.

But from what I could remember from their original broadcast, the rest are all uncut, including Austins middle finger gestures.
