See, while this is awesome news - the quality is only 720p/1080i anyway, so it would be no different to the copy I'm gonna get or for you Steve, recording off of SBO HD.

Lame assed waiting time as well.

Knowing me, I'll still get it.

Well for those of us not privileged enough to have HD channels or know someone with a Blu-Ray recorder :sad:, this is awesome. Wondered when WWE were gonna release another BR.

My TV is only 1080i anyway, so even if it was 1080p, it would mean sod all to me.

It's really good news in fact. I thought they would have kept on with them after Mania last year.

I'm sure young Steven is planning a blu-ray deal for the forum as well.

Normally don't bother buying recorded PPVs on DVDRs from people, as I could do that meself if I wasn't so lazy, but would definitely be interested in BRs of PPVs if they were being offered.

Yeah I thought they were going to release them a lot more regularly than they have done since WM last year as well.

Steve could make a bit of wonga doing this because anyone who has a HDTV and PS3 will want to watch their stuff in Blu-Ray amd WWE would be no different.

I would do it, but it is the price that is so high that is the issue for me (of blank media)

It also takes a long time to encode and copy (I usually leave it doing it overnight) so until I sort those issues out, I doubt I'll be able to offer that kind of service.

I'll still buy the Blu-Ray for the extras anyway lol.

Just thought I'd post a quick update, Silvervision told me earlier that the next Blu-Ray release after then Rumble will most likely be WrestleMania.

So I guess they're just releasing the big PPVs on Blu this year.

Yeh I had a feeling that we would only get the Big PPV's. Blu Ray Media is expensive and even for a company producing in bulk probably still costs a bomb.

Can't wait...I'd love to be able to regularly buy the PPV in BR instead of regular DVD format
